Artist Donates to Dean McGee Institute Through Book Sales

Mary Bee Clark, an Oklahoma City resident and local artist, has written and illustrated two books for young children.  Upon being diagnosed with lung cancer this past fall, Mary Bee has decided to seize the day and pursue her dream of publishing children’s books.  My Gran’s Glasses is a colorful and fun text that showcases a Gran’s eclectic glasses wardrobe, and Nana Has an Alligator Under Her Chair is a witty book that tells of the exploits of the many critters you may find at Nana’s house.  Following her illness, Mary Bee has become even more empathetic towards others who are suffering.  To that end, both books will donate 100% of the author’s proceeds to local charities.  Proceeds from My Gran’s Glasses will be donated to Dean McGee Eye Institute.
