4th Annual Oklahoma Technology Showcase to highlight innovative entrepreneurs

The Oklahoma Technology Showcase, the state’s “show-and-tell” event of world-class technology, returns Aug. 26 to the Broken Arrow campus of Northeastern State University. Open to the public, the Showcase will feature presentations by six innovative Oklahoma entrepreneurs and student interns, plus a keynote speech by Jim Brice, a site operations manager for Google at its Pryor, OK, datacenter. Organizing sponsors are NSU, the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce and the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST). Presbyterian Health Foundation Awards $3 Million To 2015 Grant Recipients

The Presbyterian Health Foundation (PHF) announced the recipients of their 2015 medical research grants. Working with Oklahoma’s medical community for 30 years and allotting more than $100 million in grants throughout their history, PHF has awarded more than $3 million to various organizations around the state to aid in medical education and research this year. Completely Re-imagined - The Oklahoma Health Center Breakfast

This year's Oklahoma Health Center Breakfast hosted by the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber and the Oklahoma Health Center Foundation has been completely re-invented. The event will be held at the new Embassy Suites Oklahoma City Downtown/Medical Center at 7:30-9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24. The Embassy Suites is located at 741 N. Put vaccines on your back-to-school list

Backpacks, hand wipes, glue sticks and No. 2 pencils: check. And while you’re busy stocking up on back-to-school supplies, there’s another list you’ll want to update as your kids head to the bus stop: their vaccination records. 

In recent years, growing numbers of parents have opted to refuse vaccinations for their children. It’s a trend that Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation President Stephen Prescott, M.D., finds extremely troubling. To read the entire article, click here.
