Blood Donors Have Chance to Win New Jeep – Saturday, Feb. 6

January 27, 2010

One lucky person who donates blood at Bob Moore dealerships in Oklahoma City, Edmond or Norman, Saturday, Feb. 6th will drive away with a 2010 Jeep Wrangler.  Bob Moore Auto Group and Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) are hosting a special "I've Got Drive" Blood Drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bob Moore locations:

Five finalists will be chosen from Saturday's donors at Bob Moore drive locations only.  Odds of winning are better than one in 1,000.  The Jeep winner will be determined during a ceremony Feb. 13.

"Saturday, our donors will have a great chance to win a shiny new Jeep Wrangler, but their chance to save someone's life is guaranteed," said John Armitage, M.D., Oklahoma Blood Institute president and CEO. "Each blood donation can be used to save the lives of up to three Oklahomans. We're grateful to Bob Moore Auto Group for making this its sixth year of commitment to Oklahoma Blood Institute and the health of all Oklahomans. This partnership shows Bob Moore's support for our community."

Healthy adults, 17 and older, are encouraged to donate. "I've Got Drive" Blood Drive donors will also receive an OBI beanie cap, license plate bracket, health screenings and Members for Life Points, redeemable for merchandise and gift certificates at OBI's online store.

Oklahoma Blood Institute is the eleventh largest, non-profit blood center in America. In 2009, more than 198,000 donations provided blood for patients in more than 150 medical facilities in Oklahoma and North Central Texas.
