Greyson Chance to headline at Cancer Center Benefit Concert
Edmond
singer-songwriter Greyson Chance
will stage a cancer benefit concert at 8 p.m. Jan. 28 at Coca-Cola
Bricktown Events Center, 429 E California, with all
proceeds benefiting the Peggy & Charles
Stephenson Oklahoma Cancer Center at the University
of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Chance, 14, achieved worldwide fame when his solo piano performance of Lady Gaga's
“Paparazzi” became one of the most watched YouTube videos of
2010. His debut album, “Hold On 'til the Night,” was released in August. Chance
helped raise $40,000 last year by performing two concerts at the high school as
part of its annual Double Wolf Dare Week, which raised a total of $198,000 for
local charities.
Opening acts include Edmond-based pop-rock band At Long
Last, along with Denver Duncan
and Jabee. The concert is presented by Edmond Santa
Fe High School and KJ-103. Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at
the door. VIP passes are available for $55 and include a backstage meet and
greet with Chance. Buy tickets at Stubwire.com or
call (877) 990-7882. Doors open at 7 p.m.
